I just need a passive switcher to use two guitars with one amp. Can I just use three 1/4" jacks and mount them in a box to be "connected" all the time? I don't necessarily need a switch, can I just turn down the volume on the unused guitar? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.....

PERFECT!! Thanks Howie!

You're welcome.  This one would work better than what you proposed.  TBP, plus, having both guitars "on" and just turning one down with a pot could mess with the pickup load that the amp or pedal sees.

Thanks again man, I knew it would be wrong to do it my way.  :)

If you don't have a pedalboard Chris, you can also substitute the "DC in" jack for a 9V battery terminal. As its only powering the LED('s), a battery will last forever and a day ;).
right, no power needed for the switch to work, it only powers the LEDs so you can see which one is on.  I have a small loop box that I sometimes put on my board.  I mainly use it with the Real Tube Tube Driver, which is not TBP.  When I do this, if I don't have an extra power outlet, I don't even worry about it, as it's easy enough to tell when the Tube Driver is on.   ;)

With this switch though, and in a gigging situation, you'd want to make sure it has some power, so you know which guitar is on.

P.S.  Speaking of loopers, use that same site.  He has some nice ones.  (I'm talking effects loops here).  They can be especially handy if you want to kick on 2-3 things at once, and you can do one in a tiny box so it won't waste board space.
