Messing around with etching from pictures.  Sorry for the low quality laptop cam pict, it's all I have here right now.

Nice etching, BW.  That is some interesting shots.  Sorry but I can't tell if that is Hendrix or Mandella :-[ .

It looks like you are using the locking tabs of the pots from the holes you have drawn out or am I missing something?

Nonetheless, it looks very good.
heh heh  I don't think I've seen Mandela with such a schweet schweet 'fro.  Tiz indeed Hendrix.  I did use the tabs on that one but I usually don't.  It's a Fuzz Face I built a while back.  I've been revisiting some of my old projects with plain enclosures lately.  I gotta order some parts and finish up a few things I have in a half ass state.
I kinda figured it was Jimi on the top but the bottom looks like something Nelson may have "Experienced" :) .

How much trouble is it to make this type of etchings
It's pretty much the same as pcb etching but with more sanding.   Here's a tutorial about making a stencil:

This will get you to an image you can transfer.

This tutorial shows how to transfer and etch:

very cool stuff Binge.  Seen this before, and still not exactly sure how it works.  I've been considering a BYOC ESV fuzz face clone.  If I get one, I might hook up with you for a Jimi etch.
No prob Howz.  Lemee know whenever you're down.
I prefer to use a 100 gigawatt argon laser for my etching.  Tomorrow I think I'll etch a neighbors house or two...  ;) :D
I wish I had a laser etch system, much less sanding.  heh eheh

My good friend and Keyboard player has a laser system ($$$$).  He does some really fine marquetry / art with it.  I like watching it run - it is hypnotic.

Your chemical etching looks pretty good too.

If I had one of those I'm afraid I'd etch everything!  hehe hehe
