I am trying to add a 1-12 cab to a Fender Pro Jr. by adding a 1/4" speaker jack to the backplate of the amp but still use the 10" speaker it came with. Can I just wire the 10" speaker to the 1/4" jack and be in parallel when I plug in the 1-12 cab? :-/ I don't wanna blow this little bastard up! :o :'( Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance man.... :)

Chris, don't do it. Does your amp have different ohm outputs? And how many ohms is the internal speaker?
what's the ohms on the 12"?
the manual says the stock speaker is 8 ohm, 25 watts...
so, you could replace the internal with a 16 ohm 10"... and wire a 16 ohm 12" external in parallel.
or, replace the internal with a 4 ohm 10"... and wire a 4 ohm 12" external in series.
but, if the external 12" you have is 8 ohms... then just use that and disconnect the internal :)
edit: to be more clear - don't connect your 12" to the existing 10" in series or parallel. there is no way for the ohms to work out.
it's entirely possible that it may work if you're off and err on the side of lower ohms (like winding up with 4 or 6 instead of 8) - but it's a huge risk - you can blow up speakers and amps pretty easily. I blew up a pair of 8" speakers with a measly 5 watt amp this way - like, actually blew up, pieces in the air kinda blowing up :D
Well, the 12" is 8 ohms. So, I could just disconnect the 10" completely and hard wire the lines from the amp to a 1/4" output I can install on the back of the amp, right? No harm done, still 8 ohms. Methinks we will just do that, thanks again guys, I appreciate it.
So sheep, ya really blew that thing to hell huh? LOL!! ;D ;D ;D

The Pro Jr I had and sent back had a extension speaker jack, so I could unplug the on board 10 (ugh) and use my 1-12 cab. So I guess just mounting a jack somewhere on the thing and then putting a plug on the 10, so you could still use it when the cab was not available, that would be the ticket.
