Hey guys!  Long-time no post...  Until recently I didn't know where you folks had disappeared to...  But, I still had Ironsheep's email address and he pointed me here.

Last year I attended Bruce Egnater's amp building class in Detroit and built my own hot-rodded Marshall-esque amp... Great fun.  Would like to build some more stuff at this point, so am loving catching up on the posts in this section..  Rock on, Dar!  (are all those posts in book form somewhere?)

Back to my thread topic:  I downloaded Peavey's Revalver earlier this week...  on the surface it's a class PODish amp / effect modeler in software.  Sounds a bit more authenitc than does the POD to me, but what is most interesting is that it lets you tweak the amps' internals..  you can change both preamp and power tubes, tone stack, push-pull vs. single-ended, type of power supply, negative feedback, phase inverter and even quite a few of the resistor and capacitor values to see how the sound changes when you do so...

I'm enjoying it.  Check it out.

Sounds like fun too me!
