Guitars sounds are a little thin...definitively the H&K statesman is not a metal amp... ;)

..mmm...it sounds really dark...I've to tweak a bit the BT... :) :)
Marco....I really like this one. I hope that tomorrow I can do something respectable with this. People will start jamming to this soon. We've all been out on that Christmas thing.
Sounds good Fingers ! Nice take !
Ciao !
Marco
I'll probably revisit this one. First pass.
Good stuff FB,
I think this is worth a revisit as well.
too quick and too much alcohol involved

You say that like it's a bad thing! :D ;D
noodle take.
need a mic repositioning - not a good spot yet :(
Nice takes guys !!
I hope to be back asap with BT's and takes....I'm trying to tame my new toy: Ubuntu (linux) ! :)
This is the 4th day I'm tweaking it to get a (f.cking) working DAW ....and now I HAVE IT, MARCO WON !!!! :D :D
Ciao !
Marco
+1! Nice takes to all of you.
Matt, your takes sound better now. To answer your post in the other thread, it might be part Tonespotter, part mic position, and part DD3. Your takes have more space now, and even if too loud in the mix, they still sit better in the mix than they used too.
Sheep, what aren't you liking about the mic position? My (and only my opinion!)only thought is that I'd like a little more "meat" in your guitar tone. EQ could solve that with current mic position. And again, that's just MY opinion. The tone is great, but could be a bit fatter. The playing, goes without saying. Hey, that rhymed! :)
Truth is many of the OLD guitar tones that I considered great, and still do, are a bit thin. Germanium treble boosters into old Marshalls had GREAT tone. It's all over some of the classic older albums. But it lacks some mids that IMHO would make them even better. Hearing some "remastered" tracks on some of them shows that they do many times just fatten up the guitar solo with EQ.
The above opinions were brought to you by...

:D
Out of curiosity I started up the XT and recorded a jam in stereo just like I used to.
quick and easy has to be said.
I saw the Headlines about the Italy quakes. I was curious how Marco faired. I hope well. Seems the worst for many.
Hi Deano ! I'm fine, thanks!
I'm living in north Italy and I'm at about 600Km from the earthquake epicenter...luckily, nothing happened here..
Ciao!

Noodling along. Couple of bad clunkers - jabbed when I should have ducked. Something about that record button that tangles my fingers. :)
Another excellent BT.
Hi Tobe !
Just noticed your post..
It's a good take ! I would only rise a little your guitar part...it sounds a bit "lost" in the mix....anyway, good playing !! :)
Ciao !
Marco
Alrighty, decided to join you guys after a long absence of FNJ's!
I'm late to this one, I know, but just heard this track the other day and loved the vibe.
It was more difficult than I thought to come up with a nice impro after all this time.
Anyway, here's my take. Not high-gain and not as speed-oriented as I usually tend to play.
Gear was my Les Paul (first time recording with that) and an entirely new sound for this one.
Cheers!

Damn, the link doesn't seem to work.
I'll just upload the track here. ;)
Beautiful !!!
It's always a pleasure to listen to your takes Chris !!! :)

Thanks Marco!!
I'm just enjoying your takes on this.
Marco, really love what you did at the end with the track! Absolutely great harmonies at the end!
I love your sense for melodies.
Great feel throughout as with everything that I've heard from you.
