k, well this is largely a shitty jam on my part... but I couldn't really think of anything else and wasn't in a particularly "smoke filled room beatnik green sunglasses" mood. the last half didn't really work out - seems that I'm playing something else at that point.. lol. heh, anyways, here's some various things stuck together into a jam:
No worries - the jam is pretty naff anyway - something I did in back in february and stumbled on, I am guessing the smoky thing,
Like the playing you did though :)
When I saw your post - it made me go see and have a quick jam,
it is more jazz funk than beatnik smokey or anything else anyhoo.
Tobe, that was some smooth playing, cool B.T. too.
Nice one Tobe - good to hear you play
I missed out on quite a few of these due to family schedules and woes. Catching up... Stayed home feeling like shite the last couple of days so, naturally, playing and listening to music helps.
I agree with Sheep Fingers - Knopfleresq. I always at least give a listen to your stuff and it's always good.
Thanks Rik. I like my tone, but it should have been a tad brighter to stand out against the BT. Sheep always has great tone and creativity in his takes.
Gotta crack at this....not my best work but its been awhile.
Hey FB - I think you need to include your guitar when mixing down.
You currently have a howie take :)
Shit - You even had me comparing it against the BT to see if I could hear any difference. :)
Whoops. I hadn't even rendered it. HAHAHAHA Sorry!
here ya go.
I like the tone - weird fx on it some kind of flangy delay
I ended up at the last second experimenting with some FX shit. what you are really hearing is a cab simulator on one channel and it kind sounded cool but did some fucked up things to the overall sound. I recorded it with a delay which if I were gonna fuck with teh track like I did I shouldn't have done.
For a reference.....here's the track with absolutely nothing on it. Just what I recorded....no doctoring.
Nice relaxing BT, thanks Finga ! :)
Here's my take: http://www.lwbguitars.net/Music/FngaSlowJam.mp3
Ciao!
Marco
Nice job Marco, sweet playing and tone.
The track sounds nicely mastered - what do you use these days ?
Thanks Finga !
After the "Ubuntu experience", I'm back home.. :)
I'm using Reaper and Magix Music studio 2008 (both running under Vista Home pro); Reaper for recording and Music studio for mastering.
In Music studio there's a nice mastering tool, nothing really "pro" but useful !
Ciao !
