mine's a lil longer than the bt ;)

Nice!  :)

Cool BT too, I'll definitely be playing around with it. 8-)
Fuckin' finally.  Will get to this one tomorrow.
Here's one quick go with the V, creaky chair syndrome and all...  Was just tone testing and kept going.

Nice backing track sheep.  thanks.

FB - congrats!

nice -- extra credit for use of "ovine" :)
OK....spent a lot of time on trying to get a particular sound.  I didn't get it.  But this is OK.

I did this at REALLY low volume since my clan is asleep and I tried this micing technique that charger told me to try....which was probably dumb as hell at this volume level.  But oh well.  This is my 2nd crack at it.

Off to listen to everyone elses stuff.

Alright....different idea here.  I kept this one because I had a cool little snakey lick in the middle that I thought sounded cool.

Bit different sound....still not what I'm goin' for....but this is fine.....to me.....hehehehe

Nice one Ironsheep (as always..  :) ) !

Here's mine !

Sweet sounding BT - doubled it

Admission - I had to fade out and back in on one  really standout bad bent note in the mix @1:13~ - it is worse than the ones I left in and there as some rough bends and shit  in there -  so real bad. :) - has an interesting effect though.

The edit makes it sound like  a frankentake cut point - but it was one take jammin.

jamming to a bt  -  I always jam around for ages for the fun of it and forget to record and get to the point I want to stop and then I do the recording thing as an after thought.

I need to start recording  earlier in the jam when I am just mindless.

Very cool Fingers.  Some of that sounded almost like saxophone.

this has been plaguing me lately as well. I'll jam around for a while working up ideas, then when I'm ready to do some recording all my hand strength is shot and I can't do anything quite right... grr.

I liked that take a lot btw - was like a wound up spring... so much tension, nice!

nice takes previous to yours as well - good to hear some jams again :)
Kick out the jams mother fucker(s)!  :D
Take 2.

Wonder how an acoustic would sound on this one?   :)

LWB, Sheep - Killer takes.  FB liked both, but the second more.
🎵 SheepJam_Tobe_V2.mp3
Tobe, liked both your takes !
The one I prefer is the first one.  I don't know how to explain, but it sounds more "true" to my ears. :)

Ciao !
Marco
Good takes Tobe - I also prefer the first - the tone is really nice and has a nice laid back vibe.
I thought of doing an acoustic at first, but decided against it.

It is good to hear people jamming again.

Nice jams listening to them all in series - killer tone from sheep - really warm.

Tobe — Jun 14, 2009Take 2.

LWB, Sheep - Killer takes.  FB liked both, but the second more.

I liked both takes Tobe.  I liked the tone of the first one....was really present ya know.  I liked the tone of the 2nd one....at least what I think you were going for.  A bit effecty.....which is exactly like what mine were.  I like a big verb.  So I can appreciate your second one.
Well I had this idea of taking the Dorian of E and raising the forth.....so....I have no idea what fucking scale that is....but I thought it sounded cool and a bit exotic.

Great tones and some cool shit there guys

Just listening to all these at work, nice touches and playing, and as Rik says, some really cool tones as well.

What the fuck, great backing to play over!

Kinda wreckless take, at least early, shoulda looped it. Still getting familiar with this super dry amp, definitely not made for the sloppy player, guess I picked the wrong time to also make the switch back to standard size picks from jazz iii type, taking a lot more time to adjust, lol, I normally don't fumble around this much!

8-)

Nice!  I was going to put a nearly identical track down then realized - I can't play like that!  Great tone too.

lol - that comment just gave me a flashback to an old Chevy Chase flick for some reason (Fletch) - he tells the rich guy that brings him home to his mansion as a quest "You live HERE? Thats funny, I almost bought this house but changed my mind."  ;D

Thanks Tobe, so easy to play my way though - just don't tune up, down some Mt. Dew and forget to breate...there you go.

Heard all the takes, enjoyed them...

Ironsheep has some thick ass tone and feel (shocker ;))

Fingers was cool, more aggressive than the others, nifty phrasing too!

Fender, the "DorianIdea" was my fav of yours, especially tone wise, sweet take.

Tobe, liked the first take most, just dug the more raw, in your face tone and playing on that one!

Lwb has tone, knew that from other clips, but shit, this sounds fantastic, Dire Straights realm - great playing, man.

Craig, your link wasn't working.   ;)  :o

Mine, heh, ultra simple ideas, mostly because I couldn't quite figure out the turn around area, lol, kept throwing me so I just 'stayed home' with diatonic shit. Felt damn good to jam over someone elses work though, showed me I have a ways to go tone wise.

nice! the "surprise high note" thing.. that's killer. kinda like what eric johnson does sometines... riffing around in the mids then BAM a couple octaves up w/o much trace of how he got there.

it's difficult to get a modern tone to sit in that mix - been trying the last few days without success.

Just a B to E string jump in my case, wish I could pull of magic like him...and yep, his own description of that shit is perfectly phrased, calls them, "leaps of faith", lol...indeed! :)
Kabala — Jun 18, 2009 Craig, your link wasn't working.   ;)  :o

Just like me.  ;)

Yes, my son. Yes.
I need to jump on this.  This is an absolutely gorgeous BT.

Comments in no particular order.
FB, lots of takes, I liked the last one the best just because it was something different.  I could hear you feeling for the notes, thinking too much, but still, the interest gave it some real vibe.
Sheep, tone and taste.  You got a lot of ideas in there... a wise student could just listen to your take, steal one of the ideas, and then elaborate.
Tobe, good stuff, first one was better, did not dig that second tone for some reason.
LWB, killer fucking tone.  I liked that you stuck the fill-ins on the left and your main solo on the right.  Sounded like you were overloading your mic or input channel at some spots with the real hard hits.  But really really nice tone.
Craig, listen to Tori.
Fingers, I liked the "bad" notes. A lot.
Schils, ripping. The tone has that upper-mid thickness that is something of a trademark in Marshall-style amplification.  Thick.
Sorry!  Still have lots of issues with the studio PC (mainly that I need a new one) but, of course, none of this is a priority in my current job situation.  I've actually played my guitar unplugged with this BT though!   :)

Thanks, Charger...hope you get around to this one, would like to hear more takes!

Craig - was just fuckin' around with ya, wouldn't be normal of me to not make a crack...didn't realize you were still outta work, must fricken suck. )=
Thanks for the comments everyone!  If I use effects I usually keep them 'le plus subtile', but tried something different on the second one.  If I had been in a room with Sheep jammin', the first one is what would have come out as soon as I got hooked into the groove.  The Ancient V seems to like a direct path to the amp best.

I would like to have a good compressor...
Thanks all !!

The Laney LC50 is gone...too much problems with it. Ckacklinkg noise, volume loss..inacceptable on a new amp!!
I've recorded this take with my new amp : a shining Delta Blues 1x15 combo. I love it !! :)

Ciao !
Marco
A bit late to the party but a possible pig flu got in the way!   :o

Some nice jams ... here's my take.

Cheers,
