very nice!
This is a cool jam.  I just wish I'd get my amp back in the house.  I played a little thing on Thursday....and the amp is still in the garage I just haven't had time to play!  But I wanna!
I think the mix is kinda screwed.. stacking warm tones. ah well, might be time to re-retire the univalve for a bit. after using it again, I'm starting to remember why I bought those two other amps. ;)

Sheep, Every time I hear that amp, it reminds me of what you told me about it several years ago.  It can sound great, but it just lacks "ass."  I know you used to use a Fulldrive with it a lot, which is a pedal that rolls off bottom end as well.  Were you using anything this time?
no pedals on this one - but I'm using 11s tuned down to D... so that's kinda beefy. overdriving it seems to make things worse... a really nice compressor after the mic might be the ticket... but I think I'll just go back to the flexi instead.

the univalve's distinctive sound is really great... but it gets frustrating when I try to do things with it that are outside of that.

the rhythm guitars here are univalve, for instance. I really like that sound.. but it's just not "right" for leads with those guitars in the mix.

I haven't tried it with a 4x12 loaded with greenbacks yet... that's supposed to be pretty awesome. maybe someday...
To me it sounds good, maybe a little "lost" in the mix, but good !
Liked a lot your take ! ;)

Jam time, quick take - 2nd one in fact - I bombed out of the first about halfway through.
Trying to be too jazz :)

cool - liked the 2nd half pinchy bends :)

This is exactly the rational I used to buy so many different amps!  ;D
Sheep - I've always loved the sound of the univalve.

But what happened to the Bogner ?
Haven't heard you play it in ages,

This is a jam where it would kill - with that elastic screaming  baritone sound you get with it.

:)

I am resisting the cheap jibe.

You know the one about how all amps sound very similar with the off switch in the off position
or....

etc.

:)
the take in "Just a Jam but Canon in D" was the bogner ;)
That was ages ago in my time zone :)

Finally got some time.  Did a couple takes.  I want to do a clean thing on the strat....or at least a MILD gain thing on the Strat.  But I didn't get my ideas together and the clock was ticking till the boss got home.

So I whipped out the Nez and went this way at the last minute.

nice taps!

and fingers... a bogner clip for you (tone is a work in progress... new mic, much tweaking going on etc)

Sounds Great

Like you could turn it up to 11 but don't need to.

Comfortably inside.

And clear and present  naturally.
Do a take on this jam,

it is open for jamming.
Actually - I was thinking of the short jam!!
lost track of the thread I was in.

A bass n drum pretty open gtr improv

But this one is good too.
