maybe I should redo the bt... I didn't bounce the drums, just the plugin output here... and might be more fun w/o the guitars on it and better mix/drum sounds.

Yeah, I always prefer just bass and drums to jam along to otherwise you are sort of pushed into a direction....and my playing generally has no direction :-)  lol.

Here's another go at it with the drums/bass backing only.

All the guitar sounds are the same amp, no setting changes other than delay here and there.  All the differences in tone that you can hear in this are the les paul guitar, switching the different push/pull combinations to split the coils, put them in series etc.

I just played my go at it back alongside a "proper" mix of a real record and realised that the low end content is way too much so I mixed it again (rolling off the low end) so it played alongside a "real" track without eq adjustment for the bass, and here it is.

Way late entry again...

Really nice BT! In fact, was challenging to not screw it up! Sat with guitar in lap, eyes closed and just lep it loop over and over and simply couldn't find any ideas that didn't fuck with the groove (though listening to the other takes proves it's just me, lol, super takes as usual, 70's porno vibe thing was clever).

Not much of a take here, kept it really short, too busy futzing with my new amp - played a bit, tweak a knob, go back and try again, etc. Hope to have time this weekend to give it a real go, or at least come back and play this all the way through.

I think I've FINALLY found my second amp to compliment the other. Still enjoying the honeymoon but it's feeling so much like a keeper already. Whew. I'm sure I'll have more gear gas from time to time but I doubt it'll be another amp that gets me.
