I'm near the end of a release at work. Not a lot of time to gab unfortunately, or fortunately I guess for some. ;)  Interested to hear how your mic is working out though.

I come by every day looking for activity, not much going on around here.

I'm working 80 hour weeks in hopes of making some money...  It had better happen soon or I'm screwed!  :(

I will try to put aside some time this weekend to put the MIC through its paces, different room positions etc.  

I must admit I don't frequent here as often as I would like as this global financial catastrophe is having a real effect on my business and I'm doing all I can to keep the fucker going.  People are just not spending money...the bastards!

What do you do for those 80 hours Craig? Software related? Just wondering as there maybe some mileage in colaborations etc...you never know.

I'll spill the beans soon (hopefully by the end of the week!).  I've been doing a lot of spreadsheets and math calculations, but not much coding.  I did design our graphics, business cards, stationary, banner, data sheets and am currently creating our website though.  Getting to do some mechanical and electrical engineering as well.  Ok, teaser over for now.  ;)

Craig, I have to wonder why you don't go out and get a job that will pay you.  Most people would be thrilled to pay salaried money to someone who will work 80 hours a week.

Gee, as if I didn't try for that type of job already...

Anyway, this WILL be better.  The delay issues actually surround two entities that are both fighting to use our services.  We think that's been sorted out (with some serious sour grapes on one side) and we should be getting our first order late this week or early next week (other prerequsite documents were signed yesterday and today).

Let's just say I get to do many different tasks (which I've always preferrred) and will be in a position to make a lot more than a "job" while working out of my house.

Here's another clue: We're in the so-called "green" industry sector.  ;)

MY job responsibilities are greater this year....and I'm getting toward the end of my Master's.

There's not a single engineer at my company who makes less than that.  Hell, even the guys who are on H-1Bs are making 110k minimum; quite a few of them are making in the 150's.  Craig chose to live in a place with very, very few tech jobs and it's always going to be tough to find a job in a market like that. I don't think he thought he would ever have to work again.
We just had a couple of fantastic quarters in a row too... on Thursday after we announced earnings our stock went up 15%.... I have a bunch of options vesting on the 1st, crossing my fingers that the stock keeps running up...

I'll be doing fine.  There's just some more paperwork to be filed (we got some yesterday finally).  I just put together the basic structure and home page for our website so things are progressing!

We're expecting our first order next week, after that I'll explain what we're up to!  ;)

Why not just tell us?  You already have your first order and a web page, obviously these are not state secrets.  I just don't understand that attitude.

Yeah, having to try to understand someone not having a job and being really, really, picky about jobs period in that situation...yeah that's pretty bizarre I guess. ;D ;D

What I can't understand is why you don't have a job period in any field to get by. That's just way out there to me. I'd be working somewhere while I was looking for what I wanted. I guess that's pretty bizarre too. ;D

Are you serious? We're just interested in what field you choose to invest your time in. We don't need every detail of your choice. If a fucking web page is up for anyone to stumble upon, what the fuck difference does it make for you to tell us what your up to? Again, we don't need detail, ya fucking drama queen. ;D ;D
