The Watering Hole

Ok...Since I have started using Avira Antivir personal, all of the 'read' messages in my email inbox have been lost. WTF??? I use Outlook express. All other messages in all other folders are still there. But all messages that have been opened in my inbox are deleted....DAILY. Again....WTF????
Is there a setting in Avira to stop this? I started using Avira from suggestions here....so Charger or somebody please give me some advice  :-[  

Never mind....found the fix.

What was it?  I was getting ready to switch form AVG and try it, but I get lots of business mail to my personal accounts so I can't lose mail that I can't retrieve.  

That didn't really have anything to do with Avira, did it?  That would shock me...
