I'm back home after 10 days spent in New York. WOW, Wonderful city, wonderful peoples and wonderful places to visit !
Coffee apart, I would like to live there ! :)

Ciao!
Marco
Glad to see you had a good time. NYC I used to go there all of the time when I was younger. I used to know my way around that city, where to go, and what to do. But that was a long-long time ago. These days the closest I get to NYC is the Newark NJ airport, flying in to there to visit family in South New Jersey which is where I come from.
Marco,

Glad you had a good tine.  You may be the first person I've ever heard say how nice the people in NYC are.  You need to come to the midwest, bro!  LOL

Some of the rudest people in the USA reside and work there, usually in the public service fields. However not in the tourist areas.

In the winter the snow piles up on the streets and looks filthy. Parking for your car is hard to find. The crowds are immense.

Traffic is unbearable. Especially going in and out of town. For a European tourist the place is great, but for the locals it is a hard life.
Thanks, I got it..  ;)

You've well explained what we (Italians) usually think about Rome..and Romans !

...How small is the world..   ;D

Ciao !

yeah - I can vouch for both Rome and NY on that score. :)

though I do like both cities and have spent what amounts to several months in both over the years.

I used to surf the ocean waves about 80 miles south of NYC. After a bit I found out the Mafia controlled  waste management which was supposed to drop the raw sewage over the continental shelf some 80 miles out to sea, was dropping it off near the city of Long Branch New Jersey, maybe 20 miles out and 40 miles north of our Island in NJ.

So after surfing in the waste of NYC, I do not have a real warm feeling for that place. :-/
but something about the place has stuck with you  ;D
Nope I am washable.
