My boss/father-in-law hs been told that he needs tests for suspected bowel/colonic cancer :o :(.
After working for him and having him as part of my family for the last 14 years, it's a bit of a shock as he's always been reasonably healthy and a bit of a rock when things haven't gone quite too plan.
As he's had no sudden weight loss or gain, the signs are that the "abnormal" cells they have found can be treated quickly and they have caught whatever at an early enough stage to make it treatable with the minimum fuss and discomfort for him and all will be well.
Given that he is 64 and a complete workaholic, I hope that this is the case. I can't imagine the worst happening and the shit that would cause because the family business very much relies on his skills as "the one who knows what to do where money is concearned". Either of his daughters or myself could run the day-to-day side of things but when it comes to money.....He's the man, and I for one would be lost without his guidence.
Right now, I'm just praying that it's good news.
Sorry guys, just needed to sound off a little. NOW, where the fuck is that bottle of Glenfiddich :-/.
