I was just having a beer (John Smiths Bitter) when my son (now 14) said "can I have some". "Sure", I said, and gave him a small glass.
He took one sip and said "Oh no, that's horrible, how can you drink that stuff" So, perhaps that has put him off it for good ;D
I never liked the taste of the stuff either. And God knows I tried to like it when I was young. (But I made up for that during the hippy daze with other forms of stuff). To this day the only thing I like native alcoholic is wine, and that is only at tolerable levels of taste for me. I do like mixed drinks if they have some bit of sweetness to them. Or natural things mixed in like fruit juice.
I remembered when I was young being told "it's an acquired taste" and they were right! It took me quite a few years before I started appreciating a good beer. :)
Good job I didn't give him a Budweiser, he might have left home ;D ;D ;D
;D ;D ;D
Notice the short comment........is good. ;D ;D
My latest kick is Ketel One martinis. Fuck they're good. Like water.
Love a good beer now and again, too.
I was in Savannah Ga at a pub called the Distillery. It's on the corner of MLK Jr Dr by the Hampton Inn if your ever in the area. I've started liking Brown Ale and darker beer. They have a beer they call a Brooklyn Brown Ale. It's the best beer I've ever had. I think they stock 99 different beer and make 20 of their own. They also make killer burgers as well.
