I'm bummed about this, but I don't think there's any way I can make it that weekend. My son is off at sleepaway camp, and he's getting picked up that weekend, which means I either need to do the picking up, or be at home with the two girls. So I am out for this year. I'm sorry guys, I really want to be there but it doesn't look like it's in the cards for me.

I'd be able to pull it off it were 1 week later (one night, anyway). I'm driving my girls back to meet their mom in Memphis on the 31st :(
I swear I'm gonna hit one again someday. Summers are just hard for me since I have the girls, and have to work around the logistics of getting them and taking them back to boot. Last year I was imprisoned by Verizon....which is no longer an issue....

I totally understand. The hard part of logistics is trying to get everyone on the same page. It's a double edge sword for me. Do I LAN way far out and give everyone time to plan, only to have a lot of them pull out 1-2weeks out. Or do I do it 2-3 months out only to have basically the same thing happen. It's a mother to get the people everything else has gotten easier and easier. The is the first free one and got 2-3 people. The first was the most money and we had a lot. So I guess I need to start charging money for it as each year has gotten cheaper and each year brings less and less. Hahaha.

I'd come if I could. Basically all of July is fucked for me. I am bummed I can't make it. I've even considered coming down just for Thursday and Friday and leaving Saturday. But hardly seems worth it.

I know we'd all come if we could. Ya'll have this thing called life. I get it. I just get bummed because I get so excited and then I get let down. I almost didn't do it this year because the rollercoaster of emotions is a bitch to ride.
It'll be a bit different in a couple of years when I don't have to compete with my Grad work. I get two weeks of break in Spring and fall....BUT....that doesn't mean I'm out for college. So that sucks a big one now. I'll be finished with part I of the Masters stuff this time next year but then I have to work on a rank....which means a little bit more school. When I get that shit done I'll be able to be a bit more flexible time wise.
Right now....June and July are the best for me. If we start planning far enough out I can make sure my family vacations don't screw with anything. Tha'ts part of what fucked us this year. I had several different vacations that didn't jive well with others vacations and we ended up missing it by a day or two here and there.
Economically I know it's been a real bitch for some of the guys here lately and when you start tallying up airline tickets and cars and gas and food....it gets a bit expensive for a weekend.
Don't mind me....I'm just expressing how bummed I get when it doesn't work out. That's all.

I would love to come and jam with y'all. Kentucky is a long ways for me to drive. But next year my sister is having a new home built in New Jersey, and I am definitely going there next summer. Bowling Green is right on the way, and my dates could be flexible, I am always welcome at my sisters house. Usually I would fly out, but it would be cheaper to drive.

How about starting now to plan something mid-to-late June next year? I know I could hit it then. And with this much advance time to talk about, prepare, etc....I think we could hit a big one.
FB....will the school be available then? If not...then let's tackle another date when the school is out. Maybe the week between Dec 25 and Jan 1 of this year. Or the week your school is out for Spring Break. Or the first week of August...right before school hits again.
Give us any date/time periods you can have access to that school, then we can deduct the date that we could have the most from Bertland there.

My spring break and fall break aren't good for now because my college breaks never line up with job breaks. So I can't guarantee those weeks for acouple years. My summer breakstarta at the end of may and runs till the first couple days of august.
June is normally the perfect month for me. This year we took a vacation the first week of June. If I know when you guys can make it I can schedule a vacation any time in those two months.
The only other time for me that is off limits is 4th of July weekend. I am always in Chicago that weekend and my daughters birthday happens that weekend. Generally the weekend after that we haves second party for her with my side of the family.
The last weekend in July is generally bad but doable as the teachers are in and out because school is getting ready to start. It just worked out this year. I could have only done it this week or the week before in July.
So yeah June is perfect for me.

All was a blast, great host and hostess. according to Matts little 4 yr. old boy Matt is HUGE in the manly area, that boy is a hoot.
I had a great time at Matt and Amanda's house. Played a little and ate a little. I wanted to stop at a local powersports store and
Jamie and Matt took in the nice eye candy ( motorcycles ) Jamie might be getting a bike, dont know that for sure, but he was talking alot about it. sorry no pics or audio was taken.
