Chandler / BK Butler Tube Driver.
For that Santana sound, get a Mesa Boogie.
I had several Mesa Boogies First a Mark II C+ head and 1-12 cab with an EVM12L Then a Mark 4 Combo with an EVM 12L. Then a Quad Preamp and Strategy 400 watt tube power amp. I gave the Mark IIC+ to my friend who sold my analog recording gear and sent me the check even though his business was going bankrupt at the time, he still paid me. Later I traded the Quad and Strategy for a recording deck to the same guy. Then I sold the Mark IV back about when we started interacting at The Watering Hole or slightly before.
I now have only 2 amps an Egnater Tweaker 15 watt head and a 1-12 cabinet with the EVM12L from the Mark IIC+ And my Hot Rod Deluxe with Cannabis Rex in it. Neither one of those has anything but a great clean sound. But both of them sound awesome with the Nady TD1 in front of them. I am nearing the end of my playing days, so I am not investing in any expensive amp like the Mark 5 Mesa Boogie. In fact I am advertising my HRD every weekend on Craigslist. If it sells I will pull the trigger on an Egnater Tweaker 40 watt head paired with my other EVM 12L in a second 1-12 cabinet. So I will still need an overdrive pedal but it looks like the broken Nady TD1 will get done soon, if so, I am again set for a good while, probably for the rest of my playing days.
