I don't do doorbusters. I do not stand in lines. And I do not get up at the ass crack of dawn to buy anything. Simply put, I avoid Black Friday crowds as if they were a plague. And they actually kinda are. People act stupid, retailers know this, and they use it to draw them in.
So. I tried something on a whim. My 11 year old wants a laptop. Best Buy had a doorbuster Dell laptop advertised for $177.00 at their 6:00 pm opening. Nothing great, but solid for a first computer for a kid.
At 6:05 I jumped on Best Buy's website. That same laptop was there available to purchase at that same price. And yes, I purchased it.
But I go back to thinking about the line of people that literally wrapped around our entire Best Buy here waiting for 6:00 to come. And to put it in a nice way...I'm left scratching my head. Are humans and cattle not so different???
