The Watering Hole

Just had my 6 monthly blood test yesterday....as I'm diabetic I get a full overhaul every 6 months including blood tests etc.

I think the nurse was either new at this or just completely useless.  She tried for 5 minutes to get some blood from my left arm and couldn't find any and so then had a go at the right arm and was successful.

Usually I feel no pain at all from needles, but I fucking did yesterday !  I don't usually get any marks either....but.....

Ain't aging fun??????? I go through that blood test thing pretty often. Although my veins are pretty easy for drawing the blood. But one time I had this gal who was so bad at it my arm had a big 2"x2" blood filled spot just under the surface. Took weeks to go away. So I can relate.

You could call my ex, she's pretty good at that. However, she expects to get poked back, apparently.  ;D ;D

A couple years ago my wife was at the doctor and had the kids with her.  The (new) nurse was an absolute idiot with taking blood and could not find the vein.  Then when she did it was like an oil well busting open, blood spurting up and the nurse panicking and yelling "We've got a bleeder!!!".  Great experience for the kids.   :o

and yeah she ended up with massive bruising as well.
