I and a coupld of friends went to Cleveland yesterday to see Porcupine Tree and Kings X at the House of Blues.

Before going to the concert, we got to go to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame.  It was so fascinating to see some of the instruments that made history!!  Standing face to face with Dickie Betts '69 Les Paul was a hoot or his 59' LP Darkburst from the Live at the Fillmore album.  There were so many cool axes; gave me a major case of GAS!!

The concert was amazing.  I know of King's X, but had never really listened to them.  Very energetic show!!  They did a meet and greet at intermission.  I got to meet them and got them to sign a CD I bought there.

Porcupine Tree's set had to be delayed a little because their equipment truck, coming from their previous gig in LA, had been delayed.  It arrived towards the END of Kings X's set!!  So the roadies and sound guys had very little time to get their stuff unloaded, set up, and working.  They did a fucking AMAZING job of getting things moving.  They started a little late, but Porcupine put on a hell of a show.  They did 2 full, highly polished, energetic sets.  I totally dug it and had a great evening!!  Of course, this morning, the alarm went off after 4 hours of sleep.  I was sleepy, but loved every minute of it!!
sounds like fun and a good show.  I need to check out some stuff by both of those groups and just haven't gotten around too it.

Did they do "Arriving somewhere but not here".  I love that fucking tune.
Bon, they didn't do, "Arriving Somewhere."

First set was the complete, "The Incident" song (all 55 minutes of it).
Second set they did a bunch of different stuff.  I know they did the last half of, "Anesthetize," "Strip the Soul," "Buying New Soul," "Lazarus," "Bonnie The Cat," "Trains."  There might have been one or two others, but I can't remember the rest.

Howie, you really do need to check them out.  Considering some of the prog bands you like, this band is a MUST to check out.
