The Watering Hole

A friend of mine died yesterday. He was diagnosed with Cancer 8 months ago and finally gave up to it yesterday.

The saddest thing is that he leaves two children behind, one of which his daughter is only 11.   I just saw that she left a message on his facebook page, really breaks my heart...just feel so sorry for her.

Fuckin' cancer, shame it exists, takes so many way before they would go otherwise. Sorry bro.

If the goddamn government would get out of science way, maybe we could make some progress.

yeah, I've had my fill lately.  My mom and Amy's mom about 3 months apart, and one of my best friends (my age) right in the middle of them.  3 in the last 4 months.... Yeah, I've had my fill.   :(

His wife seems ok when I spoke with her again yesterday. To be honest I think for her it is something of a relief as everyone knew this day was coming and he had been very unwell lately in lots of pain.

It's about time the worlds scientist came up with the answer to beat this disease.

My best friends Dad died of cancer, some kind of lung cancer. He was about 180lbs of kick your ass when he found out and ended up 80 lbs and raising up 5 or 6 feet off the bed to get a breath of air. It's the worst thing I've ever witnessed in my life. He didn't smoke, by the way.

I lost my dog a couple of weeks ago to cancer... She was 16, but aside from her getting up slowly at times, there was no sign anything was going on. It was inoperable, and I thought old age would get her first. I was wrong. Was fine one day, and weak the next. Been devastated since.

My dad had lung cancer last year... had it removed after Thanksgiving. He's doing great now, but you never can tell. Cancer friggin' sucks. Everyone should stop being pussies and let the research commence.

We prefer to put money into making boom boom that rains the hot metal on people over ending cancer.  We as a planet, I mean.

Yeah....and I heard on the news yesterday that a new study found that drinking lots of alcohol leads to unsafe sex. Wonder how much money I could have saved them on that one. ;D
