Has anyone else noticed how bent over we get by selling on eBay lately? I just totalled up all of the eBay fees, PayPal fees and extra shipping costs (above what the "calculator" tells the buyer to pay) and it was almost 10% of what I sold! $190 fucking bucks that I could really use about now. Heck, that's almost what my Line 6 Filter Pro went for ($202.50) so that's like giving away one thing for free just to sell a few other things...
It's hard to do anything now-a-days and not be screwed with fees. No one is laughing all the way to the bank anymore except the bankers.

Craig, I've learned to watch what stuff sells for, then decide whether to use EBay or list at The Gear Page. Some stuff sells for more on ebay, some at TGP. I've been stuck on 51 sales on ebay for MONTHS now. I sell almost everything at TGP. Name your price and shipping. I've sold everything there lately, but I still buy both places depending on price.
Dude, if ya want to sell shit, do so at The Gear Page. No eBay fees. If ya sell it via Paypal, ya only have to pay one smaller fee. I've bought and sold tons of gear at TGP. The only thing ya gotta do is get a minimal subscription (1year starts around $5-10). Those of us on there (myself, Howie) can be seller references (your eBay rating also works well). They love the exotic shit!!

I've sold stuff within 10 minutes and had the money IN my Paypal account within a few minutes. It doesn't always work that way, but it will with popular/highly desired stuff. I post the price I want and it's first come first serve. I've yet to run into a numbnutz.

The way things are going, I may have other stuff I have to sell so I'll check out TGP then I guess. Thanks for the info!

One reason I never sell on e-bay. I sell through Craigslist to locals only. Or I sold a few things through the For Sale threads on various forums. Buyer always paid shipping.
I've sold things on Craigs List too. Some times I list something there and at TGP. But I've only done that a couple times. If you don't mind shipping, the market at TGP is HUGE.

Most people there factor Paypal fees and shipping into their asking price, so there is no BS.
It's also a GREAT place to work out gear trades (especially if you know what you want). I've traded a few things without a hitch.
