California (my favorite state, and the place I would live if I could afford to move there) has had some terrible misfortunes over these past few years. I live 124 miles east of the California Arizona Border and we are having some of the smoke coming through to here. Quite a shame for those residents.
We have family in Clear Lake Area, of 50 houses on their street all burned down except 5 houses back a few years. Our family's property had 90 grand worth of damage to the out buildings, trees, and a few windows melted on the main house.
We did a really bad job of raking the forest floors. Smoke has been in unhealthy to dangerous levels for about a week, but man, have the sunsets been nice. Rain tomorrow supposedly, so one of our long nightmares will possibly end.
