From 2006 to 2009 I had frozen shoulder in my left shoulder. Most painful experience of my life, and particularly as it lasted 3 years and meant I could hardly play guitar during that time.
Fuck me I've now got frozen shoulder in my right shoulder and every bit as painful as it was when it was the left shoulder. Fortunately I can still play guitar this time as I don't need to lift the arm.
I suppose I have another 3 years of this as it generally lasts 3 years according to the doc. Anyway, still going to the gym 3 times a week, just doing only cardio now as I certainly can't lift fuck all at the moment.
grrr !
That's a bummer, Jon. I'm not familiar with your ailment, but it sounds bad. Several years ago, I broke a few ribs and damaged a shoulder on the same day. After it healed, it wasn't a big deal. Now that I'm older, I feel it daily. The benefits of aging!!!! :P
Never heard of a frozen shoulder Jon, but best of luck with this bout, I hope you don't have to go all three years.....
Cheers chaps. Yeah, frozen shoulder is a real shit to be sure. Constant pain and when you move your arm where it doesn't want to go, fuck it brings you to your knees. Basically the shoulder joint gets full of gunk and fluid and it sets like concrete severely impairing the amount of movement, and the muscle groups and sinews etc all shorten too. Nobody seems to know why it happens but being diabetic (which I am) makes you more likely to get it.....oh joy !. I'm lucky this time in that I can move the arm upwards in a forward direction, but if I try to put my hand behind my back it just won't go and the pain is excruciating. The best thing though is that it does eventually resolve itself, but can (and usually does) take 3 years. Still, could be worse.
Hope you don't get arrested anytime soon. ;D
Man, never heard of that before. Hope it gets better man. :)
I also hope your married or have a girlfriend. ;D ;D ;D
yeah, getting arrested would fuck me up completely that's for sure, getting the arm up the back....ouch, fucking ouch !
Fortunately yep I'm married, don't have to rub one out with the right hand :)

Damn. Hope it gets better soon. Real soon!!! :)
Update: The pain is gradually easing now, but only just. It's been 6 months of 100% pain 24 hours a day and very debilitating, but at last some light at the end of the tunnel. Should pick up the guitar again soon at last !
Glad to hear that things are improving a bit for you. Thanks for checking in. I knew that I hadn't seen you around, but had forgotten the why of it.
Keep on keepin on Jon. Glad to hear things are improving. Just you wait till you get as old as me. The pain don't bother you as much because you have it all of the time, and it is just a minor bother once you get used to it. But until then keep on improving......
