Hey guys, what's up?
Then what's down
One of the kids has type B flu ... that is a down.  What are you up to these days?
Let's see... We're up and YOU are down (under)!  ;)

Did the sheep ask for a break and tell you to go hit the forums?  :D
Flu's not good.
Been pretty busy, between work and family there never seems enough time in the day. I feel like I've just blinked and my eldest son has gone from baby to college, borrowing the car and calling me old-fashioned, I'm sure that was my father!
Had been messing around with a jam group, until the drummer fell in love and moved interstate, antoher guy started drumming, then they started wanting to get "serious". I have no desire to start lugging gear all over the place and pack up at 3a.m so I left that.
Haven't brought any new gear in a long time. Still have my Rivera Fandango, and assorted guitars.

The only sheep I ever see keep asking "where's Craig"
Yep, it happens in many countries...  ;)

Hey Cin hows trix down under?
Cin,

Kids do that - grow up fast - for sure.  Busy is good these days with current markets.  I am glad you are busy!  I wish we all had more time for guitar.
I've been listening to a lot of old steely dan and Doobie Bros, and anything else with Jeff "skunk" Baxter on it. Him and Denny Dias certainly know their way around a fretboard
I agree, they can play.  Good stuff.
I was searching around  on Jeff Baxter - amazed to learn that he has a second career as  defence consultant.

I met Jeff Baxter at the Chicago NAMM a long time ago like 1983 or 1984. I had at the time bought some Roland Guitar To MIDI units and was perfectly satisfied with them but you know GAS. At the time Skunk was representing for Akai and he told me the Akai units were faster and more accurate. Well on his word I went out and bought one, and it sucked big time. The Roland units were faster tracking and much more programmable. So as far as I am concerned the Skunk stinks. (Although the music Steeley Dan made was mucho goodo)

You believed the salesman  :o  :o  :o

What I thought I was believing was a fellow artist. What I actually did was believe the salesman. However it was long ago, and I am over it. Still the skunk stinks in my opinion. It is one thing to sell your soul to the masses and another thing to sell your soul so much you mislead your fellow artists. The difference between me and the skunk is I did not sell my soul to money, money does not matter to me, my integrity does.

By the way I did not keep the Akai unit I sent it back as I always do when I do not like the product.
Holy Crap!  Great find Fingers.  That was REALLY interesting.  I'm a big Steely Dan fan and have always loved Skunk.  That was really cool!

Dang, next thing you know, Paul Evans will be running for congress or something!   :)

Well I am over it. I was just sayin...... the guy may play well, but he ain't credible at least from my real, life personal experience. Would you rather I just fawned over him because he can play guitar or should I tell the truth from real experience.
