The Watering Hole

Went to my dentist (Suncoast Dental) today, the whole old crew is gone and there is a whole bunch of new folks there. So anyways, I go in for my 6 month cleaning, and the technician says I have to see the dentist, I said no this is my rotation for a cleaning only. She said no you have to see the dentist, I said I don't care what the dentist says, I am here for a cleaning only, then she says but the state law says blah, blah, blah. I said I don't care what the state law says, this is how I have been doing this at this office for three years. I go in for my checkup once a year, which I did this past March. And I come in six months later for my cleaning, which is today. So she goes off and gets the dentist who comes in, I said I don't need to see you today this is my cleaning appointment etc. She says I can't let that happen "this is my license" So I got up and told them; thank you but I will go see another dentist, I am outta here. I have walked out on dentists several times in the past when they tried to force me into one thing or another. I ain't playing, fuck them.

Here is what I think happened. The company (it is a chain) probably told them to do more business with bi annual checkups because a cleaning is only thirty nine bucks. The whole crew must have quit when they saw this new strategy and then they replaced them I guess.

Screw those turkeys, I went 12 years without a cavity, and I just started going back to the dentist 3 years ago. I did have one small cavity 2 years ago and the dentist fixed it and I am probably good to go.

Algadones Mexico is 3 hours away, just west of Yuma Az. Everyone here at our community goes there, for a 2 thousand dollar job here in Az it is $375 in Algadones. So........
