The Watering Hole

I was on the road quite a bit for work over the fall, then the Mrs and I went to LA for a week. We had a blast.
We got to sit in for two tapings of The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson. Brooke Shields was one of the guests for one of the shows we were at. The other show is the Day after Christmas (Boxing Day) show, with Wolfgang Puck and Kristen Bell ("Elle" on Heroes). I think we may even end up on TV for this show. There was this chick in the front row, right in front of us, and Ferguson had his eyes on her. He made a comment about her "Christmas Boots" at one point, but I think he was more interested in the Fishnet Stockings she was wearing. She was not too hard to look at, that's for sure. Anyway, we were sitting behind her, and I remember at one point, the cameras were on her, and we were watching the studio monitors. On the monitor, we saw ourselves looking up. Not the greatest TV appearance, but it was still an event for us.

The Hotel was free (Hilton Honors points can add up when travelling for work) and we got a big break on the airfare...more points.
We took in Universal Studios, Hollywood Blvd, Graumann's Chinese, The Kodak Theater, did a guided tour of Beverly Hills, Hollywood, etc, did some driving around on our own, went to Malibu, Venice Beach, ate some good food, and had lots of much needed fun.

We were there the week of Dec 9, so we've been back at work for over a week now.

I have to work tomorrow (Monday) then I'm off until January 2, and likely back on the road shortly after that.
Here's a few pictures from Hollywood GC, when I was there in November:

Some Vintage Les Pauls in the Vintage Room at the Hollywood Guitar Center....there's much more expensive stuff hanging on the wall in the same room:
