The Watering Hole

This is a true story of woe which happened to me this morning.

I wore up this mornin, the coldest day of the year,
The heater was busted, and no fixer was near,
I borrowed some space heaters, so I could live in the house,
While Jaycox AC/heater fixer was coming. I huddled inside like a chilly church mouse.

Tomorrow is coming when it will be fixed,
Tomorrow afternoon $575 will fly out the house.

2 neighbors lent me box heaters so I won't freeze.

Woeful guitar solo to come when the shed is heated again...... :D

Got home from fucking work, and my wife say's she kissed a guy

I ask questions, and wanted to hit someone in the eye

Come to find out, was a lot more than a kiss

So I grabbed my shit, and out the door I went

Now I'm divorced, and miss my kids

All because I married a whore, and the whore chose a piece of shit

Hook you are only too correct Hook, my little problem is really only a source of amusement, I have told everyone I have almost mastered indifference, and the test comes when troubles arise. I am truly calm about this even though it may eventually cost me five grand to replace the whole unit. All that said, it pales in comparison with your trials and tribulations of late, and I absolutely sympathize with your plight, not only from a humane perspective but also from  personal experience suffering a similar thing. Although my little foray into divorce was long ago, and it no longer matters at all to me in a negative way. In fact I am actually thankful to the fates, that I experienced it. I am far better off with the experience than I was before it occurred. I hope for the same fate for you amigo. One day soon you may find that is is one of the best things that ever happened to you, as mine was.

It got all the way down to 75 degrees F!   :D ;D

yeah but Craig, once you are over 70 you usually keep it a balmy 85 or so in the house.  Thats why they move to FLA so they only have to heat a few months to get it up to 85.

usually around freezing late, sometime after midnight a few times a year, then average winter tempts are from 45*F at the coldest to around 70*F in the heat of the day.

It freezes here several nights every winter. Come on out when it is 115*F and we can go for a walk in the desert around mid day and we shall see the how the hot test works ;D

Of course when I got here I was acclimated to the 4 seasons. Now I spend 8 months a year in the heat and about 2 months in the cold, with the other two at just the right temp. But my blood sure has thinned out (as they say) and the cold effects me a lot more than the heat does.

Fla is a cakewalk in the summer compared to Arizona, I moved from New Jersey in 1989 to Florida, and stayed there off and on until 11/1997. I bought this lot in December of 1997 and have lived here year round ever since. The summers here are a whole other thing. Not a cloud in the sky at all ever. No humidity in the air to dampen the suns rays.

We set the temp at 68*F in the night and at 72*F in the day until the wifey leaves, then I pump it up to 75 or so. But that is only when I have only a T shirt on if I have 2 shirts on, I keep it at 72*F.

In the summer (actually spring) I set the AC at 80*F and never turn it off until November or December, depending on when the Arctic air makes it's first appearance.

It's -5C here at the moment,  brrrggh
