The Watering Hole

Got moved into the girl's house. I have several (at least 20) plastic bins full of odds and ends, including enough speaker, microphone, 1/4" instrument, MIDI, AES/EBU and Cat 5E and 6E cable to construct a rope to the moon!! Tons and tons of cable, snakes, guitar stands, mic clips, mic stands, etc...  Guitar parts ranging from picjups to switches, bridges, etc...

Then there are the boxes full of wall wart power supplies, network cards, old cable and DSL modems, hard drives, etc...

Then there are the 400 or so books on everything from quantumn mechanics to baroque counterpoint techniques.

There is a ton, a really annoying amount, of stuff.

The worst part is that is after I have gone through and thrown away all the expndable stuff. I sold off furniture, threw away plates, silver, glasses, etc.... (including about 40 scotch glasses that I have recieved in various gift sets). I gav away stone gargoyles, a washer and dryer, swords, computer monitors, (gave 3 of those away). I did my best to scale it down and travel lightly.

In the end, after we use all the available space in this little 3 bedroom house, it will be an 8x10' storage unit for the rest of it.

God I just have way too much junk.
Heh... I bet most of use have the same issue.  The problem is that ...

a.) No one else will pay anything of merit for it even if you wanted to sell it.

b.) There is that every-once-in-a-while ...
Save it, you will need it soon!!!!
Yep. That pretty much describes my place too.

Of course, as soon as you get rid of anything, you'll need it for something and have to buy it again.
