This is so wrong and ignorant of her. Basically, at the same time saying she has a problem with addiction, in general. As in, she could get addicted to ice cream as well. ;D

But the only thing that could stick out in that article is that pot is addictive. Well ain't that the broadest fucking statement of 2013? Addictive in what way? Mentally? Physically? I could say she's wrong or right, and be factually correct either way.  :o

I been smoking pot since 1964, I ain't addicted to it. But I do like it. However I am not an addictive personality, I can and have quit almost any thing drug wise and diet wise that seemed bad for me. After about 7 or 8 years of heavy cocaine use on a daily basis, I simply decided I did not want to do it anymore, so I dumped my last 8 ball into my RV black water holding tank, and never snorted another line. No biggie for me, but anyone with an addictive personality can get addicted to anything even soda pop and never be able to give it up, I know folks like that.

People from Hollywood or in show business in general don't come from our planet and are completely out of touch with reality anyway.

I read a better much more substantive and better written version of this article yesterday and what I got from it was that it really cut the pain from her hip surgery.  She injured her hip so badly during a show she almost needed total replacement.  Lot's of rehab involved.  So it was probably a little bit of physical AND mental.  Physical to cut the pain, mental thinking she needed it for the pain.

Lady GaGa is driven to succeed. I have some friends in the LA music/TV scene, of which most of them are in sober living associations. Excellent people, just not able to handle their addictions very well without help. That drive to succeed, also comes with frequent disappointments, and it is easy to want to "get away" from that using drugs.

My Hollywood producer friend always tells me stories of his former addiction, and the stories actually surprise me every time. I was one of the ones who started him on cocaine binging long ago on the east coast, but when the time came for me to quit, it was relatively easy for me, but for him, he had to hit bottom, and drag his way up over long years.

I actually feel for those folks after hearing his stories.

Thats kinda my point. Their is no "physical" addiction. Mental, maybe. However, if you take a person, idiot like her, with a addictive personality, we could just as well replace the pot part and insert every single action taken by a human being. Eating ice cream, puking, drinking, all kinds of drugs, listening to loud music, burping, farting, the smell of skunks, fishing, hunting, cutting yourself, pain, beating off, mountain dew(the beverage) exercising, fucking every night at exactly 11:30pm, working in the yard, etc....

Were you talking in general, or did you imply that pot is physically addictive? I'd like to see evidence if that's what your saying. I think your right, that it can be mentally addictive.

If a grown man decides to explore, with addictive substances, and knowing partially what the result "can" be, why do you feel sorry for him? No reason to. He got the good and bad of his experiment. He knew this was gonna happen right?

Yeah, sounds cruel, I know. To some maybe. But those kind of decisions by a large enough amount of people, cost this country a pretty penny.  ;) The very premise of that is like a person who gets cancer from smoking suing the cigg makers. I mean come on. I think I'll chop my fingers off and sue the knife maker. ;D
