It's pretty huge to suddenly hear.  I'm still waiting for the videos of people who are cured of blindness... that would be amazing too.

It seems like all people talk about, especially in the news, is doom and gloom. It's really refreshing to know that good things are happening out their. Thats awesome as hell. Just imagine being able to hear your own children for the first time. I wish the news channels would focus on good things every once in a while. I've stopped watching the news. It's depressing. TV in general is kinda that way. All the damn religious channels talking about people going to hell if they do this and this.... the drama filled crap shows in general. If I didn't watch college football I'd get rid of cable tv. I'm going to try to find a way to eliminate my cable tv service. I really only watch college sports anyway. If I can find a way to get that through the net, it's history.

Hookbender — Mar 29, 2014I've stopped watching the news. It's depressing. TV in general is kinda that way.

I dumped my Direct TV a year or two ago. I am on an antenna now, I get about 15 channels of nothing at a cost of zero dollars per month. With Direct TV, I got 300 channels of nothing for eighty five bucks a month. I did not even have to pay for the antenna. My neighbor was throwing it away when he had Dish Network installed, and I asked him if I could have it, and he said sure take it. I simply put the thing up and transferred the cable from the satellite dish to my antenna, and bypassed the Direct TV box, and asked the TV to find whatever channels it could. It found about 65 channels, half of them Spanish and about 10 to 15 religious and shopping networks. It worked well enough so I came inside and had Direct TV stop my service immediately. I don't miss paying for TV since I actually hate most of the programming they broadcast.
