Hey guys! How's it going? I got an e-mail from Brother Howie awhile back to see if I was still alive.
I am!
Been busy as fuck. Last year I was given the Interim Principal gig at the #7 Middle School in the State of Kentucky. It was a big deal. The culture at that school was absolute garbage and it was a tough year. I was a bit too progressive for them.
This year I am the Assistant Principal at a school way closer to home. Went from driving 45 minutes one way to 15!!! Been driving that 45 minute drive for 13 years.
I love my new school as it is as progressive as I am. All the shit I wanted a school to be doing they have been doing. So I feel like I've died and gone to educator Heaven. Such a nice change of scenery.
I still play guitar.....but it's once in a blue moon. I keep a guitar at school as several people play and being that this school actually has a lot of elective classes that they offer, we also have access to drummers and singers!! WOO HOO. I'll be playing in the Talent show this year!! (insert evil laugh)
I have lived at work for the past year. Killing myself to make sure one of the best schools in the state stayed that way. This year I'm still living at work, but I don't have all the burden on my shoulders and that's a really comfortable place to be. Because of my work with my last school, I'm sorta famous. Went to the first administrator's meeting in a a WAY larger county from where I came and everyone knew my name. Very weird feeling to be in a room where everyone knows you and you know about 2 people personally.
Also got a Jet Boat. We live on the lakes during the weekends when the weather cooperates. I haven't been this tan in years. Actually sun bleached most of my hair!! The boat was the best thing we ever bought as we've had tons of fun with our friends and family on it.
Life is good. Just god damned busy. I've missed you fuckers. Hope things are going well in all of your lives. Well except Kev's! HAHAHAHAHA
