Busy, stuff going on all the time, etc... today it hit me. It's the middle of May, and not one word yet about a get together this summer.
Two Egnators, all dressed up and no place to go...
Charger, I have your choice of two Egnaters for you for the weekend, and your choice of cabs.
Have it out west here and I will go too. You Easterners and Central folk have had an easy ride to Ky. Now do some traveling and have it out west here. I will attend.
It's not that there doesn't haven't to be one. There COULD be one. Not a one of you have talked to ME about it.
I'm not going to sell it to you guys this year. You want it....tell me about it.
This coming week is my last week of school......then I am going to Disney.
I get back.....and stick around till around the 4th of July. Sometimes around 4th of July we go to Chicago every year.
So other than those two weeks.....talk amongst yourselves for dates this summer that you would like.

SOOOOO in a perfect world if all goes well all it might cost any of you is room and board. At worst it's room and board plus a couple bucks apiece for the jam space.

We have a family vacation planned and I think it is the last week of July. I'll confirm and let you know.

I'd love to get this going....but I haven't had ANYONE but Jamie talk to me about dates that work and do not work. Time is fading and each day that goes by are days lost.

I'm pretty jazzed about doing this again....but the utter lack of communication is disturbing.

Not his fault Chase, his boss, er, wife hasn't told him what weekends he can go out and play yet. ;) :D
I can do the weekend of July 23, but haven't purchased anything yet. If I know there will be a quorom I will get more serious about it. Is there something going on in the Nashville area that weekend? Plane tix seem mighty expensive. Maybe prices have just gone up...
At this time the July 23-25 weekend appears to be good. I will be heading out to the school tomorrow and will validate those times. I'll let you know something tomorrow.
So here's the way it breaks down guys.
We have only 2 weekends that we can even do this.
July 16-18
OR
July 23-25
I know for a fact that July 16-18 is bad for Jamie.
There is however one small catch on July 23-25. That Saturday there is a wedding or baby shower being held there for no more than 4 hours. I do not have information yet on what time that will be. NORMALLY these things happen early around lunch time. The way I figure it is that JAmie won't even be out of bed at that point or we'd all want to go eat something anyway. I will try to find out more information about this. But at the moment that is the ONLY hiccup. I am sure we can find something to do for four hours.
At any rate....here's the good news. The only money you need for this year are the following:
1. Plane ticket money if you fly.
2. Gas money if you drive.
3. Food money. A note on the food money. It is far cheaper for us to pool a set dollar amount together and buy groceries and cook at my place rather than go out and eat out. This option has always worked very well in the past. So in essence you could chip in as little as $20 and eat all weekend on that instead of blowing money every meal on eating out.
4. Drums.....FREE
5. School.....FREE
That's it boys. Cheapest one yet. The amount of people that shows up only affects the amount of grocery money.
Of course those of you that cannot make it but would like to chip in a bit of food/beer money.....send my a PM or an email and we can work something out. This has always been a very nice help in the past.

Oh yes and one last thing.....there are those of you that travel further than others at a greater expense and there are those of us that are a bit broke. I have room at my place for people to stay for free on a first come first serve/worst case scenario situation. Space is somewhat limited though one year I got everybody in the house. I don't know how many I can get so I'd say at least 3 is a good number for the moment.
IF you are the type that would rather not have to worry about other peoples schedule.....like the other people in my family and the fact that when we come home they are in bed and you have to shut the fuck up or my wife will beat you to death.....let me know and we can work out hotel arrangements.
Unfortunately my 2nd week of vacation got scheduled for August. Off to DC for a 'tail chasing' expedition. Giggity.

my family vacation is July 24th through the 31st (Saturday to Saturday). It is possible that I could make it on the 31st and do Sat-Sun.
