They still think good sound equals big bass though. Can't quite understand the need for that. These speakers with big bass is kinda good for the application I'm using them for. Just jamming out at low volumes.
Damn. Bass became unbearable. Took them back and picked up a pair of M-Audio V40's for a $100 bucks less, and they are so pleasing to listen too.
I think I was mentally sucked into the BOSE BRAIN FREEZE. They just make horrible speakers. I think the studio monitors have ruined me. I like my Bose TV system, but I would bet anything these cheap monitors would put them to shame. I don't want to know for sure. It would make me think about the money I spent on the Bose thingy. That would hurt my feelings. ;D
I've said it before.. read this 30 years ago in either "Stereophile" or 'The Absolute Sound" but it is SO true... "Bose = glorified mid-fi"

Man. I've tried at least 3 pair of Bose headphone and returned all of them. The bass in those things will give you a migraine in 30 minutes.
I will say though, I have a few pair of headphones, and have had more..... ;D
I like my Grado sr80's .... for rock music. Everything else, and rock to, goes through my AKG 701"s.
If you say Bose are good, your really saying I like Bass heavy music. Because they suck in every other aspect. Spend the money you spent on Bose and get a same dollar amount set of professional DJ Headphone. You'd see what Bose was TRYING to do. ;)
Grado is like hearing a PA speaker with little bass, AKG 701 like hearing studio monitor and sounds amazing, Bose is like a teenagers car stereo on the outside of the car with all his windows up. Smoke won't even sustain a good listening sit down with Bose. 8-) ;D ;D Thats really bad!! ;D
I just set my iphone to FLAT....no bass issues with the bose. Use the EQ on the system you dolt!!!
1/4 inch plug on the Grado's don't fit the iphone....thus....bose for iphone.
