The Watering Hole

This is the new IE from Microsoft. I was bored tonight, so I downloaded it. There seems to be a lot of personal configuration abilities to it. I haven't gone there yet.

But what I am noticing right out of the gates is the download speed. They seem to be mimicing firefox. The pages load MUCH faster than before. Just like Firefox....there is a very brief pause, then the page downlods instantly.

There is also supposedly more security added with it as well. I don't know yet...haven't looked into that. But I will say it is definitely faster.

Translation:  "There are a whole new set of security holes that hackers haven't found yet!"  :D
Firefox, IE..pfff.  Google Chrome is where the speed is at.  Security has been improved.
I'm with you Johnny, I've just downloaded it after reading your post, I'd say it is a lot faster as well.

Yeah, I use Google Chrome for everything that doesn't need Java.  With normal sites, JavaScript, and Flash stuff, it is orders of magnitude faster than anything else.  Unfortunately, some folks are still using Java, so I use FF for that stuff.  I still need Internet Explorer for two sites--Outlook Web Access from my work (when I'm remote and can't get a tunnel) and my work's stupid time-management/PTO app.
