Away that is ;D. On Sunday we experienced gale force winds throughout Tassie. The North West where I live took the brunt. Power went out, trees fell, roofs were blown away.
We finally got the power back on after three days late last night (Tuesday). A large tree (from a neigbouring property )fell on our shed, A hedge that I planted about eight years ago, had eight of the fourteen trees destroyed, six others fell in other parts of the place and the whole area looked like a bomb had gone off. I took a day off of work on monday and spent all day chainsawin in hand getting branches off of fences, cutting up fallen trees.
It really was quite scary, at on stage I went out to check the stock and a gust of wind actually picked me up and knocked me over! Fortunately no one was hurt, Saturday was Sean's 13th Birthday, him and a couple of his mates slept up in the shed, part of which has been set up with a pool table, xbox etc, and they came into the house about 6.30am because they got scared, two hours later the tree fell.
