SKB rack connectors fucking suck!!!! >:(
Who the hell thought that adding some multi-part, no... make that multi-flimsy-fucking-part connectors instead of just tapping holes was a good idea??! :-?
I've got two 12-space SKB racks, but I avoid using them except for storage. My current scheme required one though and it took me over 90(!) minutes to get everything into it that I wanted!
Usually I just put something in and tighten the screws by carefully using my impact driver (that's a type of automated screwdriver Hooky ;) ) then I back the screw off a 1/4 turn with a small screwdriver (so the screw and washer don't weld themselves in - had that happen once many years ago, never again!). I can put together a rack in just a few minutes that way - USUALLY.
These SKB racks practically require more finesse than a woman to get each screw in. I ended up terminally tweaking four of their stupid connectors along the way.
Fucking useless!
I'm so glad my other racks are no hassle at all (Road Ready and Grundorf).
There. I feel better now. ::)
(This rant was brought to you by Ridgid Tools and the Widmer Brewing Company. ;D )
