During my hippy years I would have never put an identifying mark on me voluntarily, just in case I had to run for the border.

I've never understood why people have tattoos.  I hate them....especially when you get old and wrinkly just looks really ugly.

I just don't get it either.  Especially when they start covering themselves with them.

I've seen that vid before.  Pretty funny.

+1 on that !!!! I think they are ugly no matter what the content, although I would definitely like to look at any on the Labia Majora.

I actually just this last Monday saw the first tattoo that looked smart - one I would get if I needed it:  On the inside of this guys right arm was a red health warning cross along with the note "Diabetic Type 1 - Alergic to (whatever, can't remember)."

Definitely the first one that made sense to me to have.

I know a few girls around here that are really good looking with beautiful skin, yet they've got tattoos all over their arms, back, chest, face and legs.  I can't help but wonder why...  :-?

My 19 yo son has a tattoo of a Koi (Is that how you spell it?) fish on his thigh which goes from just below his groin to just above his knee. We thought he'd never be able to afford one but then we didn't count on one of his friends being an apprentice tattooist and needing someone to practice on for free. Fortunately its a good job, no mistakes, but the fact remains that he is now "scarred for life".
