The Watering Hole

I'm on my way to see a client and just stopped off at mcdonalds for a coffee, which is surprisingly good. Being self employed really is the bollocks. No-one to report to, my time is my own to do with as I will.  It was hard going to get this setup but after a year and a bit at it I'm earning more now than I was before for half the effort.

Love it !

Typing on iphone so excuse the typos !
McDonalds has good coffee.  If you want something REALLY good, get a Mocha Frappe' on a hot afternoon!  SWEET!
I haven't stepped into a McDonald's in probably ten years... don'tcha have actual coffee places?

LOL, of course we do but on this particular journey the only one nearby was a McDonalds !
Do you have tea shops in the UK?

Yes, although not many in the cities but if you move west to Devon/somerset then they are everywhere. Quaint little tea shops for a pot of tea and scones etc, all very nice actually.  Funny thing is, at home I always drink tea. I only ever drink coffee when I'm on the road for some reason.
Actually McDonald's coffee is surprisingly better than most, but right now it's even better 'cause it's free!  (At least until 11/20.)  :)

FREE?  I didn't see that advertised anywhere ?

You guys have dedicated tea shops out there?

Heh. Another reason to move to the states. :D

Dunkin Donuts is doing free three days a week, too. Small, but still. Free is free.

Absolutely, but that's more of an English village kind of thing.

This sort of thing:

Yep, I can drink Dunkin Donuts coffee.  Not McDonald's...

How do you know it's the same as it was 10 years ago as you said earlier you hadn't been in a McDonalds for 10 years ?
I have got coffee from McDonalds (it, Dunkin Donuts, and 7-11 are the only things open on Thanksgiving day in downtown Chicago, where we spend almost every Thanksgiving) but I send someone else to do that dirty work.  Between Dunkin and McDonald's, Dunkin is actually drinkable.
How about a really strong expresso?  Anyone here drink that?  I don't can't stand the shit, just has no taste in it that I like.
I have an espresso/cappuccino maker.  I make cappuccinos a lot.  Drink espresso every once in a while

Cappuccino is ok for me, but I really do not like the really strong expresso that they serve up here in UK in any coffee shop.  Just tastes like, well actually not sure what it tastes like I just know it tastes really horrible
Yah I drink a lot of espresso.  Latte's cappucinos, straight espressos, americanos...
yep, all the above.  just less on esspresso.  The girls both prefer latte's. I love the cappuccino.
I get a free Vende Vanilla Latte from Starfucks every time my business partner wants to stop there and has a guilt trip because I say I don't want anything.  ;)
Anyone have a Keurig?
BlueCrystalMan — Nov 11, 2011Anyone have a Keurig?

I think a friend did, but he got it surgically removed.  ;) :D
BlueCrystalMan — Nov 11, 2011Anyone have a Keurig?

That's what we use.
Kuerigs are for frontrunners!  LOL

Daphne got one for her wedding and loves it.  I don't see the point except maybe for an office or something.  Even with two of us, we are NEVER just making one cup of coffee at home.
Keurig is the shiz...  been using one for a few years now, always the perfect cup of cofee, nothing goes to waste, or sits on the burner and smells and tastes rotten after a couple hours.
