Up at 3:30 AM Friday Aug 29 could not sleep, 6:05 AM out the door to the airport with Super Shuttle, got to the airport at 7:30 AM, forgot to take the bottle of water out of my bag, so bag check was called, water trashed no problems, off to San Diego at 9:30 AM, landed on time in San Diego airport at 10:40 AM. Got in the car with the wifey and her sister, and we drove back to the Phoenix area. On the way we stopped at 2 Indian casinos, Viejas Casino near San Diego http://viejas.com/, then The Golden Acorn Casino up high in theo mountains near Campo California http://www.goldenacorncasino.com/ the girls gambled a bit as I lounged about in the nice 113* heat outside (can't stand the casino atmosphere), stopped at the desert tower on the Eastern edge of the mountain range on Interstate 8, so the girls could climb up it and overlook the Southern California desert, and walk through the rock formations. Stopped in Yuma at the Bealls Outlet there so they could shop a bit while I sat outside in the lovely 113* heat for a half hour and waited for them. Then I took the wheel, stopped at our normal gas up point on Fortuna Road in Yuma. Stopped again in Gila Bend at the Loves travel center for the girls biz. Then on home arriving at 9:00 PM Friday Aug 29.
Long day, but the gals are home safe which is all that matters to me.....
