man, I've got a few of those around here and they kinda piss me off! they eat other birds :/

Yeah. If they would just eat the rodents and leave the songbirds alone... Two or three years ago I saw one chasing a quail in flight. The quail made it across the road to a tree line, wove through the branches and left the hawk in the dust.
I even felt bad for the squirrel, but there are a LOT of them around.

I have a Hawk that hangs around here. I live in a neighborhood on the edge of the city. He hangs out in the oak behind my house. One day I saw about 8 or 10 Blue Jays run his ass off. First time I ever saw a "gang" of birds. They meant business. LOL

Blue jays are mean little bastards. I had a dog when I was a kid and I remember to this day about 5 or so blue jays diving down around the dogs head for an hour. The dog would get pissed and chase em off, then they'd come right back at him. ;D

I have a Pentax k-3 with 135mm lens. I was able to get pretty close. It wasn't going to give up any of that squirrel.
