The man astounded me from day one with his playing. I was watching the Opry back in the 60's when it was not at all cool to like country music in my area. But I could not understand why. To this day I think country pickers are some of the best musicians around.

Any Clampett fan heard a little Scruggs daily.  Flatt and Scruggs made a few TV appearances on show.  Gotta love Ellie May!!

I didn't realize Oprah was around in the 60's. ;)
