Big shock - still no news of the cause
Shocking and a shame. A gifted guitarist and underrated vocalist IMO, he had a great, unique, easy to listen to singing voice.
Was just watching a few vids of his - Listened to one of his "pop" classics
and yeah he does have an underrated voice, got overshadowed by the guitar playing

Gary Moore here is just pitch perfect in singing and guitar playing.
totally polished and musical.
The classic line up for Thin Lizzy - Moore and Gorham.

bump
For anyone who is a Gary Moore fan
I'm very late on this as I haven't been around for a bit.
This was absolutely devastating news. As I said on my facebook page, I just can't understand why there has been very little news coverage of this. Considering Gary Moores output over a very long career and the bands and people that he has played with it's very sad.
A great guitarist, one of my top 3.....Also the most melodic guitarist ever in my opinion.
One of my top guitar players too. Played and sang with real emotion.
I saw him with Thin Lizzy in 1978. The sound was not too good in the auditorium, but I remember being dumbfounded when he cut loose.
Gary Moore - Doing a Thin Lizzy tune 'Don't Believe a Word' if you watch make sure you catch the last part. Goes from a bluesy rendition to an all out rocker. Hard to believe so much can come from one guitar.

Cool video - great tone, playing, singing and mix...
I still can't figure out why bands wanted to name themselves after vibrators though (Thin Lizzy, Steely Dan)... :-?
Great stuff
"stumbled" on this link - never heard his version before.

Great version of that. That Heritage Les Paul looks and sounds fine.
