Didn't even hear this yesterday, but Jerry Reed died yesterday morning. He was my brothers favorite guitarist and he had all of his albums. I always like him in the Bert Reynolds movies and stuff, and thought he seemed pretty cool. But I haven't really heard a ton of his music. I know he was a highly regarded player.
He was great in the movies I saw though, even up through The Water Boy.

jerry reed was one sick ass guitar player, i love that album he did with chet.
Jerry Reed, a name I have not heard in a long time. I always liked his stuff, his comedy, his acting, and of course he was a master guitar picker.

yeah, I had heard that, but didn't know why. My brother explained how he got that nickname yesterday.
