The Watering Hole

Yep. I was in Dallas this last Monday-Wed for a sales conference. Got a call from my neighbor that my front door was wide open, so I asked him to check it out.
Sure enough, someone had kicked in my front door and totally ransacked my house. All of my TV's, home theater, computer equipment, recording equipment, and a bunch of other stuff.....gone  >:(

And yes, they took all of my guitars too  :(   Fortunately, my Amp and cab were at my singers because we've been practicing on new stuff. But I no longer own any guitars.

I'm waiting for the Claims dude from the Insurance company to get ahold of me, so I can find out if my stuff is covered by the insurance. The people you talk to when you call in a claim are idiots, and do not know anything. Oh well.

Will keep yooz posted.
Ah shit man,

Hope you get repaid,

Still a huge hassle.

FUCKING COCKSUCKERS!!. sorry johnny.
Man what a crappy feeling you must have experienced as you and your neighbor spoke. Hope he insurance people cover it.
Aw shit!! >:(

Hopefully insurance will pay out sooner than later so you can get back up and running.  Man that sucks.

Good luck brother.
Well, that sucks ass.  Really sorry to hear it.

Make sure you get a description of the gear to your local guitar shops and pawn shops, and keep a search going on craigslist... your stuff is out there somewhere.
>:( >:( >:( >:(

Johnny, I'm really sorry!  Is there anything I can do?  Anything you need to borrow???
Oh man, really sorry to hear that.

Johnny, post some pics and descriptions (serial no, special marks etc.) of your guitars. I often browse around Ebay and other places just looking at what guitars are available.
They might show up there
Oh shit, that sucks ass big time.  Really sorry to hear that.
Man, they should string up assholes like this by their balls for life!  >:(

Sorry to hear about that Johnny.
Hold your insurance rep's feet to the fire.
Plus, always keep documentation or pics of your household contents available in a safe place.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Randy
SHEET!!!! any update dude!!!!?
I hate thieves with a passion. I hope they catch the assholes and throw them in the slammer for years.

I also hope you recover your stuff or get the insurance company to replace it.

Also get an alarm system.
Well the good news is you lost one of MY old guitars.  Now you can tell your insurance guy that it was worth like $50,000 and get paid!!!!

But other than that.....WHAT A BUNCH OF FUCKING BULLSHIT.  I HOPE YOU GET TO ASS RAPE THE FUCKERS WITH A PICK AX
There's nothing worse than that feeling...  Sorry to hear you have to go through it!

The alarm idea is a good one (though they can be annoying the other 99.9% of the time).  If you get one and then quit the service, keep the sign out front.

Now on to the worst part.  Who knew what you had AND knew you were going to be gone?  Unfortunately, your loss may not have been random.  Call up your local pawn shops and let them know what guitars were stolen - they might be seeing them soon.

On the other side, to make up for having such a bad time, be sure to add something to the "missing" list!
man that sucks the monster cock...

Sorry, Johnny, hopefully it all works out eventually, hope you can either get everything back or at least get compensation.
Man that is just beyond suck...  Sorry Johnny...
Thanks for the support guys. The claims dude didn't call me Friday, so I should hear from him Monday.

And the comment Craig made about 'who knew what I had and that I was gone' has been made to me by pretty much everybody I've talked to. Due to what was taken, and how the place was turned upside down, I think it was just 'who realized I was gone'.

I'm on a rural road, but it gets a LOT of traffic. This is actually my mom's place. I recently moved in to watch it while she is spending time with my sister in St. Louis. I think somebody who lives out this road saw my RX-8 out front enough times to realize a 'poor' resident no longer resides here (it is a trailer house if that paints a more vivid picture).

I figure they noticed my car gone more than 3 days in a row and saw an opportunity. Some of what they took tells me they weren't too voiced in electronics. There were several mutli-component things they took that don't work without the whole setup....but didn't take every part of the setup. There were a few things with very specific types of power adapters (which were right there with the items ) that won't work without those adapters. And they didn't take the adapters. The remote controls they took were for devices they didn't take, and vice-versa. They took my flat screen computer monitor and my keyboard tray, but not my computer. Wierd stuff, really.

And yes Matt, they got our beloved Mexi Strat  :(   I love that guitar. But the insurance company thinks it was a Highway One HSS Strat. They look identical.....   ;)

Yeah, too bad they got your new Axe FX as well, eh?  ::)
Johnny that really fucking blows.  I'll have a shot of jaeger tonight in honor of your lost guitars.  If you need a guitar id be happy to lend you one.  I'll even take care of the shipping.
