I just watched a documentary about Rory, someone who I've heard more about than actually heard. It was fascinating.
It's on Netflix here in the USA for those of you stateside who might be interested. It's called "Ghost Blues: The Story of Rory Gallagher and the Beat Club Sessions".
How the heck did I miss his wonderful music? Both with Taste and then solo? Oh, that's right. I'm 39 and grew up in the USA.
Anyway...even if you don't watch the movie you need to listen to his music if you like bluesy rock. He was fantastic, both as a guitarist and as a singer (and he played a mean sax, too...).
