When are we gonna get together for a little jam session? I've never been to one and think it's time to give you fuckers a chance to cuss me face to face. ;D
Are there any plans in the makin???
I have no plans at the moment. Currently, things make it difficult for me to do what I used to do. At best I could do one in July. But it's tricky. I've been interviewing for principal and assistant principal gigs. My plans could literally change in a moment and I'd have to get back to work and cancel the whole thing. Also my current school is shutting down most of July so I wouldn't be able to get you in because of maintenance things they do in that time and no one can be in the building. To much on my plate to organize one at the moment. I hate that, but thems the breaks.
It's not easy to put one together. So many people from so many different places. Getting the timing is the first thing that you have to get. If you can't get people schedules lined up then there is no point in planning it out.
I'm certainly game to go to one if someone else wants to host it. I'll try to make it work for me. I just can't plan one now. If someone else would like to host it I'd be more than glad to share advice that I've gained over the years. I really have an unfair advantage though because I can rent my school and I have keys to the place. Once you split the rental with all the people that come it works out to fairly cheap. The most expensive thing after that is feeding people and lodging.
It was a magic time... FB really has the hookup. Not only does he have a wide open school, with a huge stage and auditorium, but it's literally hundreds of yards from the nearest neighbors, way out in the middle of nowhere. I could host people in California and we could jam in the studio, but we couldn't go til 3 AM and blast the hell out of our amps... we play at a reasonable volume in there but can't really go past 10 on a weeknight, midnight on a weekend. The nearest neighbor is more like 10 feet away ;). And no one's going to make it out to northern California anyway. I'm pretty flexible as far as timing--when FB's got it going again, I'm in... only question is which pedals and guitars to bring...
