Here's what I've got ready to go - First time in 10 years that I've had any:  ;)



I've had the little ones (see pic below) before and they were WAY better than I had thought they would be.  These HUGE ones are going to be fun!  :)



The big shells came with a free Acid Rain box (usually $20 if you're dumb enough to buy one).  It will make a nice finale.



I'm STILL LMAO at my old home town of San Diego and the EPIC FAIL they produced last year!  Five entire displays that were supposed to go off to music around the bay ALL went off at once due to a technical error!  Check it out HERE!

How did the home grown show go off Craig.

Pretty impressive!  It was just the right amount of shells to take our time launching them one-by-one starting at 10pm (when it starts to get dark) and still be done well before midnight.  The Acid Rain was a bit of a joke - I still can't believe some suckers pay $20 for one of those!  Over in about 15-20 seconds.

I also liked the fact that there was next-to-no cleanup required.  Just a few bottom cardboard circles and the tubes themselves to pick up and toss.  :)

Think you could get one big enough to malfunction in N. Carolina and take out my ex and her mother? :D I'll pay ya.  ;D

Yeah, someone came by our house and launched three of those Excalibur shells... that one is worth checking out next year.  Thing comes with 24 shells.  The three I saw were epic.  Youtube demos seem to indicate serious quality thoughout.

These were mixed in with the Excaliburs - the only difference being the coloring on the package.

So glad I didn't waste money (and cleanup time) on all those small ground fireworks - flowers, flashers, etc.

When you and most of the neighbors all seem to have these it was a pretty amazing sight!

That one was scary and people were injured.  What I don't understand is how the guy who ran the operation is still getting jobs - this was at least his third accident (of a similar nature)!  :(

My old hometown of San Diego takes the prize of best EPIC FAIL last year though...  Check that out here if you haven't already!  ;D

I hadn't heard that about this being our guy's third accident...  I will say they have been amazing displays for the last 5 or 6 years...  Every year I am just speechless by the time it's over.  Either that or reduced to only expletives...

We were far enough away that we didn't know what went wrong, only that something had gone wrong, as it seemed like the display started off with a grand finale that lasted about 20 seconds, then nothing...  They do have a ground show portion that we can't see from where we go (other than flashes on the horizon) so I wasn't sure that that there was a problem at first.  Then after a couple minutes sirens...  :(

Good thing you stayed at a safe distance!  Sometimes the mosh pit area is the most dangerous...
