Two of my favourite YouTube channels are “that pedal show” and “JHS pedals”.  I’ve learnt so much from these guys about pedals, amps and making noise, if you haven’t discovered them they are worth a look.
That Pedal Show is cool. I like Wampler's stuff too, he's a smart dude. The guys at Andertons UK do a great job and are pretty hilarious.

I have fundamental issues with JHS-- a) I don't like being proselytized by my pedals, and b) he stole so many pedal designs in the early days without giving credit, and labeling them as his own creations, or even "years of research". Not my cup of tea.
Those are great for sure. I get a real kick out of Rick Beato and Adam Neely, myself. They do videos on music and theory and all kinds of stuff. Rick's "What Makes This Song Great" series is pretty outstanding. He breaks down the songs, highlighting cool compositional or arranging bits that really make the songs he highlights special. Speaking of which - you should check out the Produce Like A Pro channel, too - Warren Huart has a few awesome videos on there where he talks with the producers/engineers of some really great records and they break down the parts explaining how they were recorded and stuff.

YouTube is pretty awesome right now, actually. I watch it more than TV. :/

Those are the two I watch as well (and I don't even have TV at home).  ;)

I like the content of Warren Huart, but my god, he's like a gear demo where the demo doesn't happen until 9/10 of the video is over. He just talks and talks and talks and gets lost in the weeds and he's used and owned every piece of gear and has a whole story about the provenance of everything. Man, I wish that guy would just once realize the interview is not about him.

Dave Pensado is fantastic, too, can't believe I forgot to mention him.

If you like podcasts, Malcolm Gladwell and Rick Rubin do one called "Broken Record" that is really starting to get good. The most recent episode is with Linda Perry and some other interviewer, and she is incredible, always been one of the songwriters I thought had the most going on, and her producing and songwriting stories and nuggets of wisdom are amazing. I think that podcast has legs.
Thanks for those other channels guys I will be checking them out. I’d really like to start making my own backing tracks to practice/jam with, but I always seem to end up with a 12 bar .
