Poor choice of product name regardless of where the idea came from...

That said (and ignoring how annoying the guy is when he keeps looking away while talking), what do you think about the concept itself?  Kind of like an iso-box on steroids?  Or just another dumb idea?
I've had this conversation with Joey a couple of times as I just don't get it.  I really can't see the point, particularly as I actually like the sound that comes out of a 4x12 cabinet and I don't buy the micing argument either as guitar cabs have been mic'd forever and it's not really a problem.   On the other hand though, it's a crazy idea and there might just be some people out there who latch on to it.
I like it. ;D Figures, right. ;D

LOL, made me chuckle out loud that did :-)
;D
He's physically changed a lot in the what, ten years we've known him...remember his weightlifting days?

Such a weird dude. I definitely think the concept is weird...almost too weird to succeed.

I think all of his weightlifting days pics and guitar instruction (laughs out loud) videos are all from the 80's.
Hmm...  I guess I missed that point.  So that was REALLY "the Dude???"   :-?

Oh yes, that's the real deal :-)
UNMASKED indeed!  I have discussed these with J O E Y as well.  In principle, very sound idea (much more sound than his bass drum reference!). Thinking about live use and how the "beaming" and "cutting off the heads of the people in front of it" problems are solved with this design. Dispersion on a 4x would be far better than a traditional cab, and controlable!   And the construction is first class from what I've seen.  But they are expensive.

Don't blow them off as crazy though.  I bet they sound really good!
the best part, his intro... "hey I'm the klops"     ;D
Woulda been so awesome if he burped during that.
I think we should rename him to "The Pie Man", cause he sure looks like he eats a lot of 'em :-)
LOL!

I told him he should gather his "invention" together and audition for the tv show "Shark Tank"...I could just see the producers at the taping "oh, we gotta have this character on, guarunteed laughs."
the funny thing is, Joey doesn't seem to mind people laughing at him.  Seems to be what he's after much of the time.  He's serious about these drum cabs though.  Obviously he's put some time into making them.

I'll give him that, you're right, he does have a 'good sport' attitude, kinda reminds me of Newman on Seinfeld..."he's merry."

yeah, exactly.  In a way that makes you question if he's "right" some times...
Absolutely, and I actually rather like Joey.  Once you get chatting to him he is a likeable chap and makes me laugh.

I kinda like him too. He amuses the heck outta me. Banning him and Randy made the WH a more sterile place, and it never recovered.

As for the Klops, I like my little 1-12 open back cabinets, they are all I need. But since I like the dude I hope he succeeds.
I get along fine with Joey.  I've bought a few things from him and talked to him on the phone a few times.  He's very nice and doesn't act "goofy" at all on the phone.  I know he likes to have fun on the net.  And I know that the second someone starts bashing him, he goes into his goofy mode.  And I know some people immediately dislike him when he does.  Unfortunately, others find it entertaining, and he likes that so...

I talked to him after his worst incident and when I finally convinced him that some guys really were that mad at him, he immediately fixed the thing that made them mad.  He really thought he was just having fun and that they were just bashing him like normal.  He really didn't GET it that he had at least one guy ready to break his neck.  LOL  He told me he really didn't want to hurt anyone or steal anyones music, but it was just a BT that he had prior permission to use.  He really felt bad when he understood.  But at first he really didn't know they were that ticked at him for not taking it down when they asked him too.

I was always convinced that the Florida terror (Mr J D'alia) was joking and amusing himself with his antics. I don't know if he is "all there" or not but who is???
The way his eyes get darting around kind of seem to bolster that statement, dbm.

He is a good guy... He's been a buddy on Facebook for a long time and we get some good banter going on behind the scenes. He's grown on me over the past ten or so years.

Kind of the same way fungus does if you don't wash?  ;) :D

More like the way a stray cat hangs around after you feed them a couple of times.
