Hey man, sweet jam! Props to the trio - you'd think they're a house band somewhere already, pretty tight for not being a group that practices routinely!

Rodney Dangerfield here...  Even when I'm playing in the vid, I don't get my name in the credits.  LMAO  But I am playing in there and you can actually hear me a couple times.  (No small feat when playing a 7 watt amp next to FB...   As we form a semi-circle up there and I was at the front edge of the stage, my amp was pointing back towards the middle of the room and away from the camera.  So I know you can't hear much.  Probably best that way...    

And re the one video, obviously the camera was set on the table and I didn't know it was on or I wouldn't have kept walking in front of it.  Trust me, I'm not looking to get on camera.  I think it's clear who the "hams" are.   ;D

The only negative thing about the first 2 videos is we had to keep looking at Howie's ass!!   :D :D  Come on Howie!!

The drum kit has come through on the sound really well, but the guitars seem a bit lost.  How was the sound recorded into the camera, on board mic or mixer etc?

onboard mic.  The problem was we all had mics and were supposedly going to be set up to record but we just couldn't get it worked out.  We set up in the usual semi circle, but if we had known the only recordings would be with a camera out front, we'd have all pointed our amps towards the camera.  In stead, mine and Matts amps are literally pointing straight across the stage, Chargers was pointing a little bit towards the front, Riks was pointed more towards the front, and Jamie's was way in in the corner on the right, pointed BACK into the room, away from the camera.  Not ideal for a recording source out front...  

And yeah, no matter what, the drums seem to always make it through the mix....    ;)

Good sound though from an on-board mic, drums sounds really good.

charger should have brought along his zoom H4 - ideal sitution - just leave it  - record  several hours at mp3 settings

Great idea, I should have thought of that.  Instead we brought tons of mics, cables, and three laptops, and none of them worked with the hardware we had...

where have I heard that story before?   hmmmmm.....   :-X

This is charger and I fucking around.  I'm playing Rik's friends roomate's cousin's aunt's twice removed brother's sister's, mothers ancient 12 string that has some intonation issues but played rather well.  I haven't played a 12 string in 100 years.  At one point we were doing this WITH Jamie and had some 3 part guitar harmony shit which was fucking dope.  

The reason charger cracks up at the end is this:  Earlier in the night we were making fun of Howie...he just kept playing softer and softer and charger made some smart ass comment about dynamics.  So towards the end of this I think I really fucked up and it caused me to play softly.....so I ran with it.  I notice that charger was eyeballing me....I look good even in the dark......I look him dead in the eye and say, "That's dynamics." At which point he got the reference and laughed his ass off....just as I was off camera.

Good times.
